Pure Hair is modified TressFX. A lot of what you see is what AMD will release as TressFX 3.0 http://motherboard.vice.com/read/glimpse-of-the-purehair-hair-rendering-engine-at-gdc

Mr. Jen-Hsun Huang and Ms. Lisa Su or Mr. Raja Koduri should play a Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare match, and if AMD people win, NVIDIA shouldn't let tessellation in their sponsored games to hinder AMD hardware's performance or share one of their GameWorks technology with AMD. How about that? wink.gif

No, thanks... PureHair/Tressfx looks and run way better than Hairworks irrespective if is an NVidia card or an AMD Radeon card. We don't need to be gimped again by Hairworks like in Witcher 3.

Whatever they did with her hair in this game is on point. Much better than the last one.
Not hard to test. Get Lara close to a wall so her hair is close to camera, change Tessellation in AMD Settings and see how it affects performance.

Do the same in The Witcher 3.

problem is that wall can be tesselated as well biggrin.gif
