Bold statement, but I really don't care at this point.

Try BF4. Do same comparison... make sure that you are not GPU bounded and do DX11 vs Mantle without HT, if you can.

I did a while back, to prove DX11 had mega overhead issues vs Mantle.
I can't find the thread, but I tested shangai map, top of tower looking down towards the ground.

DX11 (Win 8.1) = 68 FPS.
Mantle 138 FPS.

All settings max @ 1080p. Res scaling 100%. 290X CFX 3930K 4.5GHz HT.

Here is Afterburner graph from my last play session. Study it as you like. Avalanche is the computer in the sig rig below. CPU clock is 4.9ghz. All settings maxed using SMAAx2, 1440p on an XB270HU Gsync monitor. Happy to answer any questions. Scene was Gathering the chemicals and mixing the antidote on the soviet base during baba yaga DLC mission. Spikes may be due to saves/map/menu/crafting etc. keep that in mind. thumb.gif

edit: unreadable... so much for the picture tool. How do I get it to good resolution?

I had to link it due to 500x1000 being unreadable.

I can stock the cpu but I do not have any "in-between" overclocks figured out because I went for what I wanted only which was 5ghz but it won't pass stress tests with any reasonable voltage. Is that cool? stock vs. 4.9, xmp still enabled and GPU still overclocked. I will post it when I finish this session, but I am going on the game so it may be caves now instead of snowy tundra for all I know. In fact I am pretty sure it is caves now because I need the antidote to go further. Anyways posting in thirty minutes.

Sorry I know. Derp moment. I deleted the post as soon as I posted it. biggrin.gif

Edit: I think we just have a case of AMD driver overhead and GCN architectural issues. GCN really needs a low level API to feed it's deep and vastly complex pipeline.

okay. Thanks.

Here is a graph during an "optional tomb" I found on the way. First link was outdoors in the snow so FPS may be lower despite the overclock being 4.9ghz but I didn't make any promises right? I will stay stock until I get sick of it (not like there is a big difference anyways in a GPU bound game).
