Can't find DSR in nvidia control panel

The DSR option does not exist for me in the nvidia control panel. I do not see it anywhere. I have two 980's in SLI.

Any idea how to get this DSR thing to show up in Nvidia control panel?

What monitor are you using? Does it have G-Sync enabled?

Yes, i have the asus rog 1440p gsync monitor. And yeah its enabled. I have up to date drivers and everything. I even saw DSR on diablo 3 through geforce experience but it wouldnt let me click on it or anything and now the option disappeared in geforce experience. I dont know what to do lol

First of all it will not work with SLI enabled, second it will not work with G-sync enabled. You cannot use SLI, G-sync, and DSR at the same time. If you disable SLI the option will show. To get around this I suggest trying this fix:
Quote:
Basically you have to enable Stereoscopic 3D in NVIDIA control panel and if you don't have an emitter/glasses to go through the setup process to turn it on then when the setup is running, kill the process from task manager and 3D will remain enabled. This FORCES GSYNC to turn off completely and if you lower your refresh rate to around 85hz (play around with it) then DSR will become available while on SLI.

Found the solution here: https://www.reddit.com/r/nvidia/comments/36ei3u/so_its_been_a_while_whats_the_situation_on/

ah, i see for sure. I will give it a shot. That's crazy though how I have to do all that use DSR. Is DSR even worth it?

That's in the eyes of the beholder. The smoothing is nice, but I'm not entirely sure it's worth it under 4K. I don't mess around with it much, since I too have 1440p, G-sync, and SLI. Is it worth losing the extra FPS from 144 to ~85FPS? That's really for you to decide. Test it out and see for yourself redface.gif

Someone more informed than I about DSR will probably tell me to suck a pickle because smoothness of textures and lines are more important than FPS, but I think it's up to the user to decide.

I know you've already found a solution, but for what it's worth I don't have DSR options in my NVCP either, running just a single.

I've always had to engage DSR via GeForce Experience, via the Optimisation doobrey, and then re-adjust the other settings in-game. Always thought it was kinda around-about-face.

well i tried it out and it didnt work for me. Also, I cant get gsync to enable now even when i checked the gsync box to turn it on.....great. Im hoping a restart might solve the issue?

The whole things is... You're losing a lot of performance when you're going the route I suggested. IF the settings are there in GeForce Experience, then maybe my fix is completely irrelevant. Either way, NVIDIA should probably do something about this.

Hmmm... restart and go from there. If that doesn't work then unfortunately you'll probably have to do a driver wipe and reinstall. Sorry, doing these workarounds are always risky, but I'm almost positive it's software related and shouldn't take much time to fix.
