Build Advice? (w/ Dual Xeon E5520)

Thread Starter
I recently just bought two used delidded Xeon E5520 for next to nothing, and interested in doing a dual cpu build.

These are the parts I have or are on the way:

CPU: 2 x Intel Xeon E5520 - What kind of performance would I expect from Dual E5520's in multi-threaded applications?
GPU: HD5850 1GB
HDD: Seagate 500GB
Case: I'll probably build it myself.

Parts I don't have and currently looking into getting

Motherboards:
SuperMicro X8DTI-F

Dell Poweredge 410

RAM:
Hynix HMT351R7BFR4C-H9 16GB (4x4GB) - Is this the right kind of RAM?

PSU:
EVGA 100-B1-0600-KR 80 PLUS Bronze 600W

XFX TS Bronze - Is 550w sufficient enough to run the dual CPUs and the HD5850?

I am doing this build for fun, but i would also like to spend as little as I can.

Thanks. thumb.gif

That EVGA PSU is cheap for a reason.
Why you should not buy an EVGA 400-600 and 500B-600B

If you want a cheap PSU there is the XFX TS Bronze aka Core Edition whose are Seasonic S12IIB units rebranded.
While they are not great they are much better then the cheap EVGA units.
