Yeah , but how can you run all 4 sticks of tall ,high end ram with a giant air cooler blocking your ram slots? I loved my Noc D14, but it was so huge ,it took up half the space in my full tower! AIO water coolers are quite svelte! ,and let you use any ram you want. JMO.

PC Adv LRT vs Mayhems

Guess which one is the Primochill Adv LRT?

One month later:

http://www.xtremerigs.net/2015/10/28/extreme-rigs-soft-tubing-test/5/

Couple things though,
They used glycol based coolant, which Primochill doesn't recommend.
The Mayhems tubing is wiping the floor with the PC stuff so far, BUT it has still exhibited some color change.
I've used LRT Adv for about a year. Replaced it 3 or 4 times in that year and it always clouded like this within just a few weeks, even using pure distilled or Mayhems X1.

This begs the question: XTremeRigs has been doing these tests yet includes LRT Adv in the kit. Why?

IMO it depends on the dye you use. I use fluorescein to dye the water green, and I haven't seen it change color on me. Yes it stains the tubing slightly red (fluorescein in its solid form is deep red) after the end of a year, but not the same as making it cloudy.

Man I wish I saved the year old tubing I had from my previous loop so I could backup what I said above.

Been using Mayhems for a year in my loop, no staining, no issues. And glycol coolants should NEVER be used, EVER. Itis bad for the environment, pets, kids, and does NOT inhibit algae growth.

AIOs all use glycol based coolants,BTW.

I can see one use for glycol based coolants, and pretty much only one: use with a chiller, and/or Canadian winters (which might as well be a chiller that doesn't require electricity tongue.gif ). Most of the other coolants on the market don't get along well with those kinds of temperatures, but they definitely aren't the normal case for the average person.

Isn't XT-1 safe around kids and the environment though? Well, it's biodegradable anyways, nothing is truly "safe" around kids, just minimized risks.

Mayhems XT-1 is an Ethylene Glycol based coolant. XNine is probably talking about Mayhems Pastel here, which is a nanofluid and isn't completely biodegradable either actually (but more so than the EG/PG based coolants).

So which one is good for PETG tubing? And Acrylic tubing?
