I don't think CL have any 11-slot cases in the store - they stop at 10-slots.

No idea what the Gemini cases are specced for yet as they are unreleased (but tantalisingly imminent).

Unless you go custom, you would need a supermicro case for this. It's a huge proprietary board.

I am begging you guys please design the gemini to handle this board redface.gif

Well... since it's a unusually large proprietary form factor I don't see that happening. Plus, Supermicro won't release or license (to the best of my knowledge and personal experience dealing with them) the use of their proprietary form factors. Again, your best options are a Supermicro case or go with something custom made.

Curious how you're going to get the x16 slot GPUs into the x8 slots on that board.

Greg

They are open at their bottom so x16 gpus fit into the x8 slots.

Hi Sebastian,

If you want a custom case for this proprietary board. The only option is to go to protocase.com. It's not going to be cheap. They are a full service proto facility along with a production line. You can either design the case yourself, have them assist you, or let them design the case based on your input for a price.

protocase.com is fantastic! Thank you so much for the link.

BTW I think Lian Li D8000 could house X10DRX and it's available for 290 EUR net. It has 11 slots for PCIe and I need to make sure it can fit such a bard.

Anyway I'll try to finish designing my custom case I've started and see costs at protocase.

I would get a supermicro case smile.gif, Protocase is great however you are not looking at hundreds for them to make a case your looking at thousands. Linus had them make him a rack mount case and its was around 1k.

Another option I have seen people do around here is to make the design and have it made in china, this will still be very expensive but much less than protocase.
