Both, games and benchmarks.

Ok I think I got what I can from this.
Funny thing is even after hours of prime BF4 still seems to be the best test, can pass prime but wont run BF4 lol. I'm getting it sorted though and its been running really nice thanks for the advice.

What error or problem do you get on BF4?

It seems that even though the cpu and ram will pass prime once I start battlefield 4 I get anywere from 5-15min play time before the game closes. I have traced this back to being the ram clocks, BF4 does not seem to like the ram running 2200mhz. I backed it off to 1884mhz I think and no issues. I assume its because the cpu itself is supposed to run 1866mhz ram max. It's g.skill sniper ram and I played with timings and voltages and cant seem to get BF4 to run with ram that's much higher than 1866mhz.

I also found the ceiling for the nb to be around 2600-2700. 2800 and I get a overclocked failed post on startup or have to use the asus memok button. Also 3000 is ht ceiling. Im fine with both of those, I think nb is around 2600-2700 and ht Is around 3000 and its running fine. cpu Is 4.7ghz and ram has been mentioned. I might push higher on the cpu but ill probably have to use the multiplier from now on if I want to go higher. we will see I guess.

also no error log just "Battlefield 4 has stopped working"
This is fine I get basically the same performance with lower ram speed and tighter timings at least I found the issue.

You are right, BF4 and BF3 have problems with RAM running above 1600MHz I had the same problema even with an AMD right.

After 15min of prime using HWMonitor, The temps were reading as that for the last 5min so I don't think they were going to get any higher. I think ill leave the overclock were it is, Mainboard cpu temp had 12 degrees room and the actual chip temp shows about 12 degrees room too. I guess I could go farther but I like the extra space I think. I don't want to wreck anything.

I'm only hitting the low 40's in battlefield 4... I feel like 5.0ghz is doable in real world use but I don't think the Corsair H110i GT is able to keep up with a prime95 stress test. I'm not ready to do custom liquid loops yet, I was going to try my first when AMD makes their zen core cpu's. If prime is pushing my h110i gt to hard but nothing else will, is it acceptable to continue overclocking with games maybe cinebench also as it has a cpu test. I have passed a cinebench and failed a prime test though. Battlefield 4 seems to be able to pick up instability within 1 round if its bad it will either close or freeze up.

Bf4 actually even helped me get cpu/nb voltage right. I dropped it down and bf4 was closing and freezing. I think I'm going to use it while still watching temps and push to 5ghz. Prime is a good stress test but the h110i isn't up to the task prime puts a unrealistic load. I think cinebench and bf4 should be ok.
I only game on the machine if it games stable I feel fine with that.
