Are there... fake EK-Vardar fans?!

Yo.

Sig rig is out of date. I have 6 EK Vardar F4-120mm 2250rpm fans in a Corsair Air 240.

1 of them "chirped" at low RPMs (900rpm). A high pitched squeaky noise. So, I bought another one off'f Amazon.

This one also "chirped". I thought I was tripping, or perhaps the chirping noise was a loose strut or soemthing inside the case, so I swapped it for another fan in a different position.

Lo and behold, the chirping fan still chirps.

So - are there fake EK-V F4s, or am I just unlucky? I can't imagine I could buy 2 faulty fans in a row unless someone's pushing out knockoffs with defective or cheap motors.

We are not aware of any fake EK-Vardar fans on the market. You might be extremly unlucky, but let's just investigate a bit. Do you have a video of the fans doing this noise?
