Sooo, something stupid happened rolleyes.gif
today i had the brilliant idea to check if my cpu cooler screws are still fully tightened after assembling my new pc 2 weeks ago! so i crawled under my desk with my trusty screwdriver and checked them one by one. when checking the bottom right screw (bottom left when viewed from the front) i slipped and slightly touched my board with the tip of my screwdriver. it was only then i realized i didnt turn off my psu (only pc was turned off)... there were no sparks or anything so thats good biggrin.gif

i installed my new fans, turned my pc on and when i ran the asus QFan utility in my uefi it detected the minimum pwm speed of chassis fan 1 as 100%. the socket for chassis fan 1 is located directly next to the screw i slipped off of... so thats not a good sign...
i turned my pc off and cleared my cmos. when i turned it back on, i saw that i was in LN2 mode now, but i never touched that jumper... next thing i noticed is that the XMP option was now completely gone so i assumed the worst...

ok, so i turned my pc off again and used the USB BIOS Flashback option to reflash the most current bios. now everything is back to normal in my uefi but chassis fan 1 is still being detected as 100% minimum speed, which is no problem compared to breaking the whole board... rolleyes.gif

so my question is: is it possible i damaged something i dont see now that is going to cause problems in the future or would i not be able to run my pc if there was any damage to my board?

Regards
