GIGABYTE Gaming G1 980 Ti STUCK at 1152MHz on idle!

My PC has **** tons of issues god dammit.
My CPU is overheating (a different issue) and also my graphics card doesn't go down to it's usual idle clocks (135Mhz) on my 60 hertz 1200p monitor. I'm literally doing nothing and clocks are at 1152. I can also confirm that there is no bit coin miner as GPU load shows up as 0 and games run at their normal FPS.

My OC: Stable at 1442Mhz Core, 7002Mhz effective

You could try to use MDI Afterburnet to create profiles for the GPU. You can bind keys to activate the profiles. It's not automatical, but still better than nothing. I'm searching for some other programs, if i can find anything, i will make another reply.

I wish I could use that program! But GIGABYTE forces you to use their OC Guru II software to change the color of the windforce logo. And the software sucks lmao

Is that based ob RivaTuner? Or can you use Nvidia Inspector? That's a more basic program, but maybr there is a problem with the P state configuration. I think it can switch between different P states, but they are configured to max clocks.

check your power options in the control panel (pci-e managements or sth like this).

Is it good now? If not, we can look for solutions.

Try nvidia inspector and use "multi display power saver" option (right click the overclocking button)

You can set the usage treshold for the gpu to enter high performance mode, else it will stay on low power consumption/idle mode.

SORRY FOR NOT UPDATING THE POST

The solution is fixed. Nvidia customer support wasn't too shabby and they walked me through on a clean install of the drivers, which solved the issue. I feel stupid on how I couldn't figure that out myself xD
