As long as the plastics(PCIE power connector) and Capacitors are wrapped with aluminium foil(you will see this on most GPU baking guides) and the ovens temperature is not extreme it will be fine. Once again you need to remove anything removable( shroud/heatsink and any backplates/fans)

I took the shroud off and cleaned it up a bit and replaced the thermal paste, but when I put it back together and fired it up I would get 10-15 minutes of playtime on spintires before the screen would go completely red and have green lines for the tire tracks. it would stay like that for about 10 seconds and resume normal function. when my computer updated and restarted the card failed to power up and started smoking. now I'm running dual 4670's and fighting my BIOS now. ACPI_BIOS_ERROR.... I wish I had $700 so I can complete a new build that can handle GTAV on normal.
