MY NEW RAM DOESNT WORK

Hi all, need some help, this is my first real post/question
Just upgraded to a MSI 990fxa gd80 mobo and hyper fury x 1866mhz 4x4gb ram, but went to boot for first time and nothing
checked connections - nothing
checked cpu (amd 8320) + paste - nothing

removed new ram and inserted old crucial ballistix sport 1600mhz ram 4x4gb and booted fine

is this faulty ram??? (purchased from AMAZON new) or incorrect settings???? or incorrect ram for system

Try using just two sticks of the new RAM.

Also, take out the battery and clear your bios. Sometimes the board wont boot cause its looking for the old ram and doesnt recognize the new ram. So clear the Cmos!!! If that dont work, try 1 stick in A1, if that dont work move it to B1 and clear bios every time. You might also have to hold down a button to program the ram. Read your book for the mobo.

An update:

removed the battery,
pressed the clear cmos botton in the i/o shield aperture
inserted 1 stick nearest cpu
booted up & nothing
repeated few times -- different sticks, two sticks, reset
booted up & nothing, error 33 showing on board

so i built my new project that i was due to start after my main pc upgrade (HTPC in mini itx case)
installed new hyperX ram
BINGO
so i know its not the ram, just need to get it working on my MSI 990fxa gd80 mobo

any ideas on how to reset???????????????

Should be compatible based on your Motherboard and memory module.  What CPU are you using? Is this the model you're using: HX318C10F?

Have you updated the BIOS? Isolate one of our Fury memory module in the slot to ensure the memory is not failing? Look forward to your results!
