now today, its very slow for some reason....

so i just went to idle and check tast mangaer and my ram is constantly at max (7.xx) and cpu is pretty high too.

i use mse for virus scanner btw

what is going on? what did i do? how can i fix it?

Sounds like a Bitcoin miner. Open Task Manager (Ctrl+L-Shift+Esc), click details, then click the "Memory" tab until the highest memory user is on the top. Take a screenshot and post it up here.

i restarted my PC and it "seems fine" again.

ill post pic up as soon as it starts again.

NOTE: just to be clear though, i have been restarting my PC and than it seems to become fine again.

but the issue happened when i was trying to redownload ublock origin.

the download gets to 1.3 mb / 1.3 mb but i cant click "install" and it just sits there

and THAN it starts to lag like hell.....

If it happens when trying to install uBlock Origin it sounds like a memory leak to me. Uninstall Firefox completely, restart your PC and reinstall Firefox. If it happens after reinstalling Firefox, click Troubleshooting Information in the "Help" menu and "Refresh Firefox".

if i uninstall firefox compeltely does it remove all myb ookmarks and all that stuff?

i remember it doing that once i think.

and also ublock origin got installed somehow..... when i restarted my pc and opened up firefox again, it was there.

and (i think this is important) sometimes when i open up firefox from the pinned menu on the bottom start screen thing, it doesnt load up after it opens up browser.so i have to cloes it and click the icon from desktop

It shouldn't delete your data, but to be safe, open Firefox, click Troubleshooting Info. Click "Show Profile Folder", go up one level in that file window. Close Firefox. Wait a few seconds. Then select the folder that Firefox opened for you, and copy it to somewhere safe. That folder will contain all your data.

Sounds to me like the Firefox install could be corrupt. Before you do any of this, your best advice would be to download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware: https://www.malwarebytes.org/mwb-download/

Run a full system scan. If that doesn't present any issues, open Command Prompt as admin and run "sfc /scannow".

I just installed it and currently running it. so far it has 2 "detected objects"

EDIT: ok now it has a crap load ..... after finishing it has 1610 .........

with one of them being "malware" category,

caled "trojan.dropper.MSIL"

im revmoing all selected atm

EDIT2: I think its all removed now?? it says it is and restarted PC.

what steps do i do now? should i still do that firefox thing u mentioned?

and what about MSE? im thinking i should just keep this new one and uninstall MSE

Woah, wasn't expecting that. Really at this point I'd just suggesting wiping the whole drive and re-installing Windows. Backup the profile folder, and any other apps and stuff you might need and we'll work from there. You're on Windows 7 right?

yeah windows 7.

1610 total detected objects

and in that 1610, 1 is malware

1609 was "potentailly unwanted" something something

during the "scan file system" it detected 2 and during heuristic analysis is when it picked up the rest of the 1608 to make it 1610.

even though only 1 was "red" and labeled malware do you suggest i just do a complete rewipe and windows install?

also i have never done a harddrive wipe before. and the only back up i can use are blank CD's

doing a re scan is showing 0 threats identified now.
