Qnix qx2710 with gigabyte windforce gtx 980 ti not working with dvi

So, I have the Qnix qx 2710 monitor with only a dvi output. This setup worked perfectly on my Asus Strix GTX 970. I recently upgraded and built a new system with a gtx 980 ti. I have it connected to my 4k tv at the moment, and everything is fine. However, every time I try to boot connected to the Qnix, it does not recognize a video ouptut. ONCE, I actually got the Qnix to turn on and get a display when connected to my 980 ti, however it went right to the Asus setup screen (for my mob) you know hit f2 to enter BiOS, and when I hit f2, it just went blank again, and the red light on the front started flashing. Every time I hook it up, aside from that one time, I just get the red flashing light. I dont understand why it would have worked with the 970, but not the 980 ti. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

You might try while connected to your tv - to change the resolution to 1440p in your nvidia control panel first and then hook up the monitor. Could be that 4k is stuck as the resolution in your system. Reboot a few times if you have too.
Try the other DVi output on your card ect.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I actually updated the bios in my mobo, and reinstalled all my video drivers, and I got it to work. However... About 24 hours later, I got the blue screen of death. "Your PC has encountered a problem." :-( and since then it will not power up. It gets power to the mobo, I have a green power led, but also a red cpu led flashes on, and also a red dram led. I took out the cmos, reseated cpu, pressed the memok button, tried one stick of ram, tried a different ram slot. I've tried pretty much everything I can think of, and I get nothing, and no video output now. I think I just got a defective board. The motherboard is Asus z170-a with an i7 6700k and 16gb ddr4 3000 ripjaws then of course the gigabyte GTX 980 ti. So, idk boys looks like I need a new mobo.
