Thread Starter
I have a nfs version 3 share setup for syncing from my desktop to a mechanical disk attached to the Asus ac5300 router. On the router I have the merlin firmware, and Entware installed on the first partition on the hdd. I believe my Linux back up partition is on the 3rd, and an ext4.

My rsnapshot is configured to use lazy deletes, sync first, and link destination.

The only thing is the transfer speed drops after about 10 minutes, till then I hit between 30 - 60 mbs. I've tried cutting rsize and wsize in half with no luck. I also tried disabling and renabling the ram cache optimization in the merlin firmware. Disabling it slowed the transfer speeds down. (The sync folder stayed up for an hour)

I'm pretty sure it's the cpu in the router having a hard time keeping up with rsync.

Anyone know of any potential fixes?
