Hi everyone,

I have Corsair Dominator Platinum (CMD16GX3M2A2400C10) 16GB, and I need to add extra ram to my rig and i found CMD16GX3M2A2400C11. BUT

Can I run Corsair Dominator Platinum (CMD16GX3M2A2400C10) with (CMD16GX3M2A2400C11) at the same motherboard????

CMD16GX3M2A2400C10 (Corsair DOMINATOR Platinum Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3 DRAM 2400MHz PC3 19200 C10 )
CMD16GX3M2A2400C11 (Corsair Dominator Platinum 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3 2400MHz C11 Memory Kit)

My rig:
CPU i7 4790k
Motherboard Msi z97 Mpower
16 GB of ram (CMD16GX3M2A2400C10)
2XGTX980

Thanks

yes but i think you would have to change the timings of your old ram from 10-12-12-31 to 11-13-13-31 to match the new.

Going to copy paste this from one of my earlier replies on a different thread.

Using 2 dual channel kits can cause problems, because the programmed primary, secondary and tertiary timings are only valid with 2 DIMMs installed, possibly causing RAM corruption or inability to POST. Many people seem to ignore this since usually getting 2 dual channel kits is cheaper than 1 quad channel kit and think RAM is RAM, then wonder why they get problems later on when installing them.

Of course, it's your money, you're free to do what you want. But be prepared to not be able to run at the advertised speed; You may need to use looser timings, slower frequency, or both.
