It has nothing to do with the bitrate or videos
The game has been downgraded facts
Particles, textures etc have been removed
It is not even close to the e3 trailer just like watchdogs
People don't want to believe the truth because it's easier not to. Don't bother trying to convince them because you won't, no matter what evidence you bring forth. People still believe Watch Dogs was not downgraded, CPU overhead does not exist and the Earth is flat. Edited by BradleyW - 2/3/16 at 7:14am
There's undoubtedly been a "downgrade", but how anyone could call it ugly is beyond me.. It's an open-world game, it looks more than competitive with TW3/other open-world games, it wipes the floor with MGSV, F4, etc.
According to most self proclaimed experts here on glorious OCN, the downgrade is either acceptable or none existant.
I don't understand how anyone can say how the downgrade is none existent, seriously, did they not see the E3 2013 trailer?
I don't mean to knock the game, and I understand if you are contempt with the visuals of the game, but to say that a downgrade didn't happen is absurd.

I must admit, the game can look very nice, but I honestly don't know how it could require so much computational power to run it even at it's highest settings.
We're talking about £250-£400 GPU hardware being brought to their knees at around 30-40 fps at 1080p. (GPUs such as the GTX 970, R9 290/390, GTX 980 R9 290X/390X).
I have absolutely no problem whatsoever with the latest games pushing hardware to their limits, but when the game in question doesn't look particularly great even at their highest settings I must question it. This is no Crysis by any means.
Of-course, you don't need to run the game at the highest settings, but it doesn't look significantly better than the lower settings. Could this simply be diminishing returns?
Or maybe the hardware has just not advanced fast enough? The GTX 980 Ti probably runs this game pretty well seeing as it's over 40% more powerful than the GTX 970, however that's £500 GPU hardware.
It is an open world game and I hadn't encountered any loading screens during the beta after the initial loading screen and when transitioning to different areas, such as the Dark Zone. This impressed me quite alot. But other than that I'm not sure where all the computational power is going.

Even if you maxed out the game on a GTX 970, any game for that matter, with graphical settings so high the game runs at one frame per second, you'll still see a graphical difference.
Unless textures stop loading and the GPU causes a resonance cascade.
That's a poor question to ask.
