Best Acer Predator Monitor

Thread Starter
Hello everyone! I'm trying to decide which monitor to go with in the Acer Predator monitor line. My three picks are: XB271HU, XB271HK, or X34. These are all IPS monitors. I will be getting a single MSI GTX 980 Ti Gaming 6G but have the option to go with two in SLI setup. The XB271HU is 1440p with 144hz-165hz refresh rate and 4ms response time. The X34 has a resolution of 3440x1440 and 60hz-100hz refresh rate with 4ms response time. The XB271HK is a 4K (3860x2160) monitor with 60hz-75hz monitor with a 4ms response time.

Well it's pretty clear what the pros/cons of each of them is. The only real differences between those are resolution and refresh rate, so pick the one that is most appealing to you. The XB271HU also has the best response times while the XB271HK is probably noticeably slower than the other two (resulting in more motion blur).

I avoid SLI to avoid headaches and issues, so if you go this route then forget the X34 and XB271HK. I'd actually take the Z35 over all of those.

I'm using the XB271HU with a single 980 Ti couldn't be happier with the results just be prepared to play the monitor lottery.

If I had to pick among those three I'd go for the XB271HU since it is the only one that includes ULMB, the 271HK and X34 only have Gsync.
