Best joystick with Hall Effect Sensors with no buttons on the base? (for roughly $50 or less or only slightly more)

Thread Starter

So, I am seriously considering buying the Thrustmaster T.16000M from either Target's website or BestBuy's so that I can easily return it in-store if I don't like it for whatever reason. The only problem is, it has buttons on the base that I'll never use (I can explain later if you want). So, I'm just curious: do you know of any good joysticks that have Hall Effect Sensors that don't have any buttons on the base - but still have plenty of buttons and a trigger or two on the stick?

Thank you.

I'm assuming there aren't any because when I look around, some people are saying that this is the best joystick to get on a budget because it's only ~$50 and it has Hall Effect Sensors and that any other stick with Hall Effect Sensors is much more expensive - and I can't afford to spend much more than this.

It's a computer!

Probably best joystick in this price is Defender M5 Cobra. It is a child of Russian-Chinese collaboration. Is developed in VKB - Russian producer of hi-tech joystick and Chinese company Defender. This is a real flighstick - is inspired by flighstick from Russian jets as Flanker, Frogfoot or Fulcrum, but it isn´t a straight replica. On base is Throttle wheel - and this is all. Stick have a one good feature - two triggers (one is foldeable). You can mapped on one cannon and on second guns or phasers/missiles - and simple you can push both. Joystick body is rubberized (f.e: as on elder mices from Razer) and under base is really heavy metal plate with holes for scruts. Isn´t here any lights any buttons... I bought it as replace of my dead Logitech 3D Extreme... Price in Europe is around 48€. (But on Black friday i bought a Thrustmaster Warthog Flightstick with -40% sale...and this is a little another level... But M5 Cobra is most versatile - for "Hog" you must bought HOTAS, M5Cobra is all in one... (Flightstick, throttle and "tail" contro(horizontal stab.control.)
