this right here pretty much sums it up... early game, early tech, early squad is just miss miss miss... once you hit the second level of tech and get a few squad levels under your belt, it really evens out. Then, when you reach end game, 3rd tier tech, you pretty much never miss. One thing I don't quite get is the seemingly high miss rate on melee weapons... maybe I just have bad luck...

in any case, the game is fantastic, just what I wanted from another Xcom game... I only have 2 requests:

Bring back the air support options, I loved having interceptors to scramble and shoot down ufo's, even if it was a silly mini-game, I still enjoyed it.

Bring back mechanized units... turning your soldiers into mechs with interchangeable limbs was the best, I'm hoping they add it with some DLC or something.

On a side note, any ability that allows you to take control of an enemy unit for a couple turns, is ridiculously powerful... landed a couple of clutch haywire hacks on the sectopods and those things handle business.

Using the sword at the moment is sub optimal. Shotgun (best gun in game imo) does more dmg, better crits, higher chance to hit, better positioning and no chance to get countered. Also, the +3 damage ranger flanking bonus from training school is gun only. Rangers are an amazing class and concealment skills are awesome, but the sword/shotgun balance doesn't make sense.

the dark event progress just keeps increasing and there's no way to revert it's progress, looks like the game is forcing you to finish the game...

the only thing i'm missing i guess, is the advanced armor not sure where to research this...
this would have made my war/wraith armor use it's 3rd/2nd utility slot... frown.gif

This game would be a hell of a lot better if it didn't auto target certain units like VIPs and not allow me to attack anything else.

I mean what's more important? Attacking a VIP or attacking a Advent that's been flanked. HMMMMMMMM.

Oh and my favorite: 100% chance to hit with a pistol, 66% chance to hit with a sniper rifle. Because apparently my soldier wants to hip fire. -.-
