[AMD] CRIMSON 16.1.1. HOTFIX - Page 7

Since Bethesda is happy with low standards, I'm waiting for the game to hit $5 before I buy it.

I had 2 x 6970 when I played Skyrim. There was AlT-Tab you had to do but CFX did work. This is sad from both part. AMD/Nvidia should have spend more money pushing CFX and SLI.

There seems to be a severe problem with the way AMD is releasing these updates. I have had nothing but problems with these hotfixes. The last hotfix, even after it was "installed" still showed as available in the Radeon settings. Now, when I click update, it says the driver is up to date even through it reports the currently installed software version is 15.301.1201, but under the system tab it reports I have Radeon software version 16.1.

When I go to AMD's website and download the update checker it says I have the latest version installed, and yet the site has hotfix 16.1.1 available.

The hotfix is now installed but AMD needs to fix the issue where two different versions are given in the Radeon settings and it did not inform that the hotfix 16.1.1 was avaialable. It had to be manually downloaded from AMD's site.

Does no one else see this as an issue?

I think the reason it won't update to 16.1.1 threw the crimson software because it's considered a non-whql driver and not a whql driver. As far as crimson software is concerned the last whql driver was 15.12, these hotfix drivers are nothing more than beta drivers.

These are beta drivers , don't use the automatic detect and get them on the amd website by downloading manually

Installed them earlier - Better performance for sure on Rise of the Tomb Raider

Installed them earlier and now it's perfect. Getting over 100fps almost all the time without stuttering. Everything maxed out at 1080p except AA set to SMAA and textures set to High, on Very High I get like 5fps when scenes change rapidly. Must be VRAM usage.

There was this issue where it looked as if blocks of pixels were missing and refilled with content from other parts of the non-default display It was bizarre but it was fixed by either restarting or changing the resolution of the screen back and forth.

stop putting AMD's incompetency and blame it to Microsoft.

As long as AMD do not have equal Vsync implementation like Nvidia's. There is zero possibility I will get AMD again.

If you bother to read my message again, you'll see that it does not reflect my views in any way.

Yes, it's bad AMD still do not have adaptive v-sync. But on the other hand, FreeSync is free, and with it you have no need for adaptive vsync.

AMD is giving away Freesync monitors now?
