Temps Between Two EVGA 970's Blower Style

Hey all, I just bought a second 970 p4-1972-kr. I have a Sound Blaster Z as well, and my motherboard PCIe slots are x16, x8, x16/8 and x8. Now I plan on putting the 970's on the x16, which leaves a PCIe in between the two cards. Which is also the only place that I can put my Sound Blaster Z, in the x1 slot. If I use my SB-Z, will I have to worry about it getting hot while gaming? My 970 gets to 83C as it is now, and if I have 2 970's hitting 83C, will that heat radiate onto the SB-Z? The SB-Z's operating temps is supposed to be 0-45C.

Should i just forgo the SB-Z and use the on-board audio (which isn't terribly bad idea as I rarely use the SB-Z anyway)? or do you think it will be fine?

I'd just toss the SB. Boards these days have darn good on board sound. If you did want to keep the SB, it can stand temps to 100c so I wouldn't worry about it.

Oh, 100C? Literature stated 45C. Then i guess I shouldn't need to worry. I've got a few more fans coming in the mail. 2x 140mm for duty mode on the front to replace the 200mm, 1x 120mm already on the bottom in front of the PSU. Then replacing the rad fans with quieter static 120mm's, and keeping the 140 exhaust. Should give positive pressure and hopefully enough cool clean air to push the radiant heat from the GPUs out through the PCI covers.

yea unless its made of sillyputty silicon components can take about 200f or 90c and alittle higher but that's to fail.
