Dude it's a piece of computer hardware that 90% of the general population are either ignorant or straight up couldn't care about.

Starting with GCN 1.2, yes. That would be 285, 380(x), Nano and Fury (x)

IDK, I tend to look for the best hardware on a market segment basis rather than on an absolute basis.
Different build demand different parts.

This is the truth, that's how I ended up with half Nvidia and half AMD cards in all the builds in my house right now, certain vendors were better for certain builds. Company loyalty is stupid.

Unfortunately, it looks like many users in this thread don't feel like you and I do. Which is a darn pity that OCN has devolved to where it is over the years.

Many people have the irrational need to justify their choices. This behavior extends into other areas of their lives, too. It's nothing new, it won't change, and people will continue to seek the confirmation they crave by people with similar psychological needs.

If Pascal is late to the party and AMD shows faster POLARIS chip than GTX 980TI then AMD can get some $ and m. share back. Also low end Polaris must show excellent performance per watt.

Hmmm,... AMD didnt really show anything new last few years, except HBM and some optimization of GCN. I think Raja started new GCN arch in 2012 when he joined AMD... 4 years is enough to make much better and improved arch.... well AMD, I want to see real action.

While we cannot find any real data about Pascal arch. improvements over Maxwell.

Yep, its very nice to see new node,....
