Reverting back to Windows 7 from Windows 10

Thread Starter
I've given Windows 10 a shot for around 2 months now and I can't stand it. I've had nothing but problems from bugs, glitches, crashes, etc. on programs that never happened once on Windows 7. I would like to just go back to Windows 7, I believe.

Is there a way to swap out the operating systems without having to completely wipe my SSD and start from scratch? I'd like to keep everything as it is and just change W10 back to W7. I have little to no experience messing with operating systems so I figured I'd ask in hopes someone can help me do this without encountering any major problems or headaches.

Thanks for the help!

As far as I know it's not possible to keep your installed programs when downgrading. You may install over the Win10, which will put it in a "Windows.old" folder, and you'll keep your files, but that sometimes can cause more problems than it would solve.

Windows 10 has a 30 day rollback. You will now need to install Windows 7 from scratch. Sorry frown.gif. Plus it's the best way. I just hope you don't have issues like other people I know.

Is there any way at all to go back to 7 without losing all of my data?

I have my OS + Games & such on an SSD. I also have a 1TB HDD for Media Storage. Is there any way I can use them in combination to just put my data on the hard drive, wipe the SSD, reinstall Windows 7, then transfer the data back over?

Thanks!
