Corsair fans for loop?

So I have seen from time to time that the corsair SP series get slammed for being garbage. I have a bunch of these for my loop and the give me no trouble. No odd noises, theyre quiet. My temperatures are good with low deltas. So what am I missing here?

the only thing you seem to be missing is the victory dance thumb.gif

I would imagine that what you are missing is exposure to good fans...... If you have never driven a Bentley, I would imagine that a 1977 Ford Maverick seems like a fine automobile.

the sp120 fans(non led) are just fine for rads. They offer a good combination of performance, aesthetics, low noise, and price. I'm fairly convinced that the people who slam them feel the need to justify the fact they paid $20-$25 a piece for their fans. I have a lot sp120s in my build and considered both vardars and gentle typhoons but felt they just weren't worth the extra money for such a small noise reduction and performance increase. Not to mention they aren't very attractive and aesthetics were important to me.

I have the LED versions of the quiet edition SP fans. I also have a lot of radiator space as well so any loss in performance is made up in numbers,.

But on the paper they are really good in terms of performance with 3.1 mm/H20 @ 35dBA no? Have not seen many fans with better specs for radiators.

thats the specs for the non led performance sp120 iirc. I think the led ones do about half that static pressure.

The ones I have are a lot less Db. I'll have to dig out the boxes.

Indeed, LED ones are 1.46mm/H20 at 26.4 dBA and SP120 quite are 1.29mm/H20 at 23dBA if Corsair website can be trusted.
I'm actually just asking if they are any good myself because slowly I'm gathering the parts for a custom loop for my new build and at one point I will need decent fans.

for my loop i will have the thermaltake red lef riing fans where they will be seen and the noctua fans where they will not be seen. but if your pc is averaging 25db or less then thats a great zone to be in. right now with my pc and fans (thermaltake, enermax, stock corsair) im at 25 or less where i sit in relation to my tower.

enermax is a good brand and i would suggest looking into them as well
