I think Q6600 = Athlon 5350 clock vs clock.
Q6600 at 2.4GHz scores around 2.6p
Atlon 5350 2.4GHz scores around 2.5p

Here is 3.2 P comparison

so yes Jaguar is little behind in FPU performance.

Geekbench MT

Actually jaguar is faster.
I dont know where they got numbers for Q6600... but on that test it looks much faster than Jaguar.

FX 6300 + GA-970-UD3P + 1866Mhz ram is still a killer for budget gamers

i3 6100 is.

Like I told you before, problem of I3 is having only 2 really fast cores and price.

Your question? .. I telling you this all the time.

I3 6100 is not good enough for its price. And also 2 fast cores doesnt mean that they are going to be faster from 6 slower cores.

Depends the workload.

of course.
MMOs, single threaded games... but I think pentium g3258 is great deal for those games or single threaded programs.

i3 6100 cost 125$
i5 4460 cost 175$
i5 6500 cost 185$

If you build PC its better to go with i5 and R7 360 than i3 6100 and GTX 950... While i3 6100 and GTX 950 will be faster at higher GPU settings etc. Yet some gomes will be CPU limited and even with lower settings you wont fell smoothness and you may be dropping under 30-40 FPS.

So why spending more for i3?
Then why grabbing i3 6100 with R7 360 if you can get athlon x4 860K with R7 360/GTX 950.... so I am not saying that i3 is bad, but is it worth its price?

I double checked: On FM2+ Carrizo has been wired to use all of the available 16x PCI-E lanes (Gen. 3). Eight lanes are reserved for GPU, four for UMI (APU - FCH communication) and the remaining four for GPP. The GPP can be used either by another PCI-E slot(s) or x4 M.2 drive for example. Basically there is no difference to Steamroller in PCI-E wise, only the lane count available to dGPU differ. With Gen. 3 PCI-E the differences are non-existent anyway.
