I'm intriqued.

Although I wonder why not choose a different war? WW2 feel & atmosphere is hard to live up to; in my mind it must be a perfect mix of... Band of Brothers/The Pacific, BF, COD, and some other very good movies.

The Korean War? Might be interesting.
The Vietnam War? Although done before; it needs more jungle, psychedelics & napalm.

For some reason to make an old shooter it will look dated. If they can make Vietnam feel like it's actually in the present and not the old movie/war film filter.

From what I'v seen on map size for this game, it would be horrible with anything near that player count and I hope they don't allow it. The maps looked similar to older COD titles in size. I would guess 16 player max before it becomes too crowded.

The last good WWII FPS I played was COD:WaW on Xbox 360. Note I said Xbox 360 version and not PC because it had way too big of teams and played like absolute crap. Finding a 6v6 or 8v8 was near impossible so that left players spawning on top of each other repeatedly dying to spawn kills. I deleted that game off my PC after a couple hours of play and went to put hundreds of hours into the Xbox version instead. I hope this game doesn't make the same mistake.

COD3 and COD:WaW were the worst cod games in the whole series, mostly because of vehicle combat, but World at war also had awful maps. The only good thing about world at war was zombies. Anyways i would have said the last good WW2 game i played was red orchestra 2, and before that CoD 2. Did anyone play enemy front? that game flopped hard i was kind of looking forward to it, but it got really bad reviews so i passed.

i been back to cod2 for a long time now. its hard to believe id rather play a 10 year old game over the newer titles. i welcome the thought of an old school game style.
