Unable to overclock ram since motherboard swap

Thread Starter
Hey guys, I have had this issue for a while now.. have tried everything I can think of.. with no resolution.

I am currently running a 3570k on a Sabertooth Z77, with 2 F3-2400C10D-8GTX kits, and can't seem to get it to overclock at all since switching to the Sabertooth.

My previous motherboard was the Gigabyte G1 Sniper M3, and I changed it out because I had nothing but issues with the onboard sound. I had the memory running the 2400 that it is rated at and beyond with the same processor on my previous board, but since switching to this board, when I switch to the XMP profile it wont even POST. If I turn it back to 1866, and manually input timings it will POST, but wont load windows.

I tried adding voltage, tried messing with timings down to the second and third timings (using a guide for this particular motherboard posted on another site).. even tried running one of the two kits to see if it were an issue with having all 4 slots populated with no resolution.

My bios is updated to the most recent release..

Any Ideas?

Yeah, if you can go back to the Gigabyte G1 Sniper M3 and take the Sabertooth back, you could get a sound card. That's what you should have done.
