Good shout, I have a 7950or 7970 (I actually have no idea which, seriously) and it is a great 1080p card and can be picked up for cheap.

Beyond that we're gonna need more info but a cooler and getting some good overclocks would probably benefit too depending on what GPU you already have.

What else is in your rig: GPU, cooling, ram, case, storage ect

The GPU is the GTS450, I've had it for awhile (obviously) and I'm not disappointed, but I'm not getting eye candy either. I play most every game on low to medium settings. It doesn't really detract from the experience but like I said I just want stuff to look nicer/smoother.

I have no A/M cooling on the GPU, CPU is under Tuniq Tower.

Not sure on the RAM without opening the case and I'm lazy right now. CPU-Z says 6GB DDR3 7-7-7-16

Couple of SATA II HDDs Barracudas if I remember. (This comp is years old and I haven't OC'd anything since my Q6600)

Antec 902

I'm going to put the 450 in another comp that currently has an 8800GT. All I need from the new card is dual DVI which most cards have now. HDMI is nice, but not necessary.

I really just want to stay under the budget someone recommended this what do ya'll think?

I will look at the 79xx series and see what I can find.

EDIT:

My res is 1600x900

The OP isn't going to be able to get a 7950 or 7970 for under $100 on ebay. Those things are going for around $120 and $150 respectively. He might be able to get one here on the forums.

He might be able to get a 7870 on ebay for that price.
