Upgrade GTS450 - Page 2

I posted it because some people might feel more comfortable buying a refurbished card directly from EVGA rather than a 7870/7950 from ebay. I wasn't trying to claim it offered superior performance.

Anyway the EVGA card is OOS again for the moment.

I found http://m.newegg.com/Product/index?itemnumber=N82E16814150642on eBay it's what I'm getting think that's a worthy upgrade on a budget?
It'll be better than the 450, should perform fairly well at 1080p or lower, such as your 1600x900 res, how much is it?

I got it for around $74 then $10 for shipping

Seems pricey for the 1gb version, but still a substantial upgrade from your gts450 and shouldn't hold you back at 1600x900.

Yeah I would have liked 2GB of vram but we'll see how it turns out.
Like binary demon says 1GB and 75usd is quite expensive, and you shouldget a 2GB at least, try to get another card like a 7870 2GB

There is no real difference between the 7850 1GB vs 2GB unless he crossfires them. The only except is Skyrim at 1080p with very high + 4x MSAA. In higher resolutions - apparently Skyrim doesn't require a lot of GPU power, but requires VRAM.

Every other game benchmark shows zero difference between the 1GB and 2GB version at various resolutions.
