I have had 5 of them 2x h110's and 2x h100's and a h100i and they are all had loud pump noise and the fans that were included died within a year. Their quality control is horrible on most of there products so yeah maybe you were one of the lucky ones.

Your system does look really nice however with the custom loop have you ever considered going with red liquid?

So a Swiftech loop and build it on X99. Is it worth it to plug the GPU into the loop if I went with the basic 240mm kit? Will I need a better pump?

No you dont need a new pump as the one you get is more then powerful enough.
And yes you can add the GPU to the loop if you want all you need is a water block and some fittings for the GPU and some tubing and you can hook the GPU up to the rest of the loop.

I was asking whether it's worth it, since the cooler Gigabyte puts on the G1 is pretty decent from what I've seen.

I would not bother to put the GPU under water if you are not planing on overclocking the hell out of it.
Short answer is no.

I have used dye's before and just like to anymore. They stain everything and it's a pain to get clean. I just use distilled water and flush the system every few months and it stays very clean. No biocides or anything.

old dyes stained. new formulas dont stain. except red. red will kill you.
you should be running a biocide. im on over a year with nothing but distilled and tetra anti-algae. you are playing russian roulette with your loop.

eldan, the gb coolers are not as quiet as you think. besides that, a gpu gains more from water cooling than a cpu does. youll still want a bigger rad or another 240 if you put a gpu in the loop. no point in putting a cpu and gpu in a single 240 loop unless you dont mind fan noise.

I flush my loop every 3 to 5 months and have never had a sign of anything in it since I went away from dues. The Mayhems white dye I used left didn't really stain but it left a film the was a pain to get out. I had to take apart everything and wipe it all down. With distilled I get nothing, no discoloration, no build up of anything. Biocide would make that last longer I am sure.

Update time!
After the decision to wait till the end of the year for the release of new products (and a good one it was), the build seems to look the following (budget ~2k$):
CPU: Intel i7-6700K/6800K
GPU: Nvidia 1070/1080 (Gigabyte / Asus) depending on money (I know I don't need the 1080, but... it's a 1080!)
MB: Either Gigabyte (UD) or Asus. Some with good overclockability, decent VRMs and capacitors.
RAM: Kingston HyperX Savage (32GB @ 2666MHz)
SSD: Intel 535 or Samsung 850 Evo, ~500GB
HDD: Got a Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 1TB, might get an additional one or a WD Black
PSU: EVGA SuperNova G2 650/750 (where I shop, the 750 is actually cheaper than the 650)
Case: Corsair Air 540 / Corsair 450D / Phanteks Enthoo Luxe
Cooler: Swiftech H240 X2

I also decided to upgrade my current peripherials (they're quite old and have some problems - broken standoffs on the keyboard, speakers can't play bass, etc.), listing Current and what I might be getting (budget unknown):
Keyboard: Current: Microsoft Sidewinder X4 | I want to get a mechanical one, but I'll have to research this area yet
Mouse: A4Tech 740K | No idea what mouse I'll be getting...
Monitors: Currently I've got three Acer G226HQLs, but I'm not really happy with them. | I might go for one 1440p with two 1080ps on the sides, not sure about what exactly I'll buy yet cause monitors get expensive when you're buying three of them smile.gif
Speakers: Cheap-ass Trust 2.0 something | Will get Microlab Solo 6C.

Please comment on anything and everything, I'd especially value any advice on monitors, keyboards and mice. Thanks!

EDIT: Please move this thread to the Intel section, it's not really relevant to WC anymore...
