Thinking of buying an intellimouse, anything I need to know? - Page 3

I am thinking of getting a IE3, but I don't think the shape is going to work for my grip style because the IE3 looks like it is design for your hand to ride on top of the mouse. The IO doesn't suit me anymore because I no longer play like I did back in the earlier 2000s. The WMO is more to my liking these days, but it doesn't have side buttons.

I'm stuck between buying a ZA13, a G100s or an IE3. I will only be buying the ZA13 to put my 3090 PCB inside. If the ZA13 isn't comfortable for me I will get a G100s instead. The IE3 is an impulse buy because I never used one. I wouldn't buy the IE3 if the Scream1 was released already, I rather see what that is like than a mouse I can only use at home.

i actually just purchased a WMO and a G100S, hopefully both arrive early next week.
also found a used IE3 locally, but the guy wants 30 euros (+7 shipping) and that's gonna be a pass for me.

been using the FK2 for a while now, but the shape is just not for me..
and i'm definitely tired of the big G400 and DA shapes, so hopefully the WMO or G100S will be a good match smile.gif

- i presume the MLT04's polling rate is stable, when overclocked?
- is it safe to stack feet, or will that mess with tracking?

Polling rate is stable. Try 500hz first.

Depends what kind of mouse feet you use.

hyperglides on top of stock. so i guess around 1mm - 1.2mm of mouse feet?

I wouldn't stack mouse feet. The LOD isn't that high and the MLT04 behaves differently than the Avago and PixArt sensor. The stock feet should be ~0.6mm, which is fine for any surface. Stacking the feet will lower CPI and probably hurt the tracking. The CPI is already lower than 450 (my mice are closer to 400 with 0.6mm feet).

Is there any reason why I shouldn't or couldn't overclock it to 1000 hz?

My mouse arrives on Friday next week.

Hey guys. I found one guy that has 3 IE 1.1 here in Romania. He says they were used in office, from photos i see them looking well maintained, should i be looking for something specific before buying one? Price for 1 is less than 20 euro.

IE 1.1 isn't great. You want an IE 3.0 or IO 1.1.
