My only question is can I go back to normal mode, and the driver be ok? Or do I have to leave it test mode, security boot disabled, etc?

Unfortunately you have to stay in test mode. Next mobo and CPU upgrade, you should get a Fatal1ty board, then you won't need test mode.

why is it specifically the IMO 1.1 that's always being talked about?
i have two IMO mice (not 1.1) and they clearly use the MLT04. both are X08 from '03
so what's the deal with specifically 1.1?

Really? I feel like the IMO1.1 is the least favorite amongst the three main MLT04 mice, excluding the OMB. I'd rank it:

1. WMO 1.1/1.1A
2. IME3.0
3. IMO1.1/1.1A

Most likely due to its /_\ shape

hm. well it does seem that every IME (non-3.0) and every WMO (non-1.1) do not use the MLT04. maybe people just figured that every non-1.1 IMO would not use the MLT04 either.
but maybe i'm totally wrong, it's hard to get any confirmation with google and google images.

sorry i wasn't clear, i mean the IMO 1.1 vs IMO.
(i wasn't talking about the IMO vs IME vs WMO.)

forgot about that OMB, but there's probably even less known about different iterations of that mouse biggrin.gif

Left button. Always been a point of failure for mine(s) back in the days. Cable also, on one. Weakens at the mouse end.

Side button a bit mushy, but who cares, right?

3. It's locked to 125Hz w/o SweetLow's driver unless you have a Fatal1ty port.
4. If you buy on eBay there was a guide to not getting scammed around somewhere that talked about serial numbers, how the USB connector should look, what it should say when you connect the mouse, etc.

What is a boxed legends?
