Need help choosing motherboard (LGA1151) and DDR4 Ram $450 Budget

Hi all

So what makes a good motherboard? To be honest I have no clue I look at it, oh its $200 or more dollars I hope its good. Ive since been stuck with 1 decent pciex16 slot and the limitations of the LGA1155 socket. Below are the few choices Ive selected, its essential to me that motherboard can support two graphics in the future, LGA 1151 socket for skylake icore 7 6700k and DDR 4 3200mhz+ ram.

http://www.msy.com.au/nsw/ultimo/pc-components/16037-gigabyte-z170x-gaming-7-intel-z170-s1151-4xddr4-3xpciex16-hdmi-dp-usb31-atx-motherboard.html
This board has stuff on it, I don't know what it is but I'm worried it may cause fitting issues with custom cooler and case pc parts was used but I could find my actual case just something similar.
Also whatever those large parts are on the board can they be removed?

http://www.msy.com.au/nsw/ultimo/motherboard/16105--asus-h170-pro-gaming-intel-h170-s1151-4xddr4-2xpciex16-hdmi-dvi-dp-usb31-atx-motherboard.html
Not sure if this board has two decent pciex16 slots

http://www.msy.com.au/nsw/ultimo/pc-components/16010-asrock-fata1ty-z170-gaming-k4-intel-z170-s1151-4xddr4-2xpciex16-hdmi-dvi-usb31-atx-motherboard.html
Never used Asrock before are they good?

As for the ram DDR4 3200mhz speed or more would be great and 8gbx2 unfortunately the stock for the better ram on that site for my pick up location is out. If needed the ram can wait.

Only choice in stock currently.

So crack your whip of intelligence upon me tongue.gif. Thanks for the help:D

Hey man similar situation... also looking for a motherboard - I've already decided on RAM

https://www.pccasegear.com/products/33227/corsair-vengeance-lpx-cmk8gx4m2b3200c16-8gb-2x4gb-ddr4

Getting this cause 16gb is overkill for me atm (only gaming) and 3200mhz wasnt too expensive.

Not sure which state youre in - but I'd avoid MSY if you can, if prices are similar, check out PCCaseGear or ScorpTec, msy have terrible customer service....

As for motherboards, im tossing up between Asus, Gigabyte and ASRock. I've heard negative things about MSI motherboards though (and reviews seem to show they have weaker performance/reliability) which is why I'm not considering them.

If you're overclocking, a high phase count for CPU power delivery is important, but if you get anything remotely high end you should be fine (only the cheapest gigabyte z170 has 6 phase power, and the asus have 7).

But yeah no motherboard really stands out to me as the best mix in terms of quality, performance and price.

I have the Gaming 7 and love it and I hear the Gaming 5 is a good choice too but I have always been partial to Asus, they make high quality stuff. As a matter of fact they both do so I suggest research the features of all boards available to you from them and make your choice by features like the LAN, m2 slots, audio, and power phases and fit the best for you into your price range. Just go to the websites and look over the features of each board.

Note: Asus boards are inherently easier to overclock because of the UEFI if that's your thing although I haven't had too much trouble with my Gaming 7.

That RAM is great, I have the Ripjaws V Red 2800 and it very good. Too bad the price is so high, I feel for you.
