Intel E5200 LGA775 to Xeon X5450 LGA771 mod HELP

Hi
Me and my son are very new to this but we have an old HP DX7500 which seemed to run very well fitted with its E5200 and 16GB of DDR2, ive fitted a Geforce GT630 graphics card and it will play most games e.g. Dirt 3 like a breeze, but now we want to move on to black ops 3 and i understand the graphics card will need replacing but firstly ive purchased a modded X5450 which from HP specs will work with my G45 chipset board.
ive cut the tabs and placed the X5450 booted up in diagnostics and it passes everything (CPU/Ram/HDD) fine recognising the Xeon X5450 @3.0Ghz but freezes on the windows screen.
the CPU fan starts at normal speed then suddenly shoots to full speed just as it freezes,

What am i doing wrong
Thanks

Just an update to say the PC has now booted up and works, but it says it has Intel E5300 (its original cpu) although the X5450 is fitted

I'm really stuck sorry, I've no idea how to flash the bios, I've trawled the Internet for the bios files but can't find them.
I've re set the bios by jumping it and removing the cmos battery but it still passes the diagnostic test and either freezes on boot up or boots up but system says it's an E5300 cpu

Well I've sorted it, I spoke to an IT engineer and he told me to install Windows 7 64bit as anything higher than win7 will not work without microcodes.
I've installed Windows 7 and job done runs like a dream with the X5450
