Isn't this thread confirmation enough?

Some MOBO manufacturers have already removed the pages talking about this "feature" being present.

As a side note, call me cynical, but Intel is removing a feature that was never supposed to be available to non-K parts.

Of course this thread is enough, but my post is in regards to his "confirmation" which he had on 12/23/2015. I'm more curious if he works in the industry and his "confirmation" is more than a forum post stating an ME code will block this soon.

I'm not sure as I'm not familiar with that user. He made it seem like he wrote and posted an article on it lol

If I saw that then, I wouldn't have taken it seriously.

I guess you guys don't browse around the rest of the net that much? biggrin.gif I am (was) a tech journalist and have a lot of friends and contacts in the right places. My site, www.flyingsuicide.net, is now defunct as I have move onwards to other ventures, but references to it can be found around the net.

If you want some sort of references for my credibility, I was the first to leak ACCURATE GTX Titan performance figures as well as confirming that that price would be around the $1000 mark unlike what other sites were reporting at the time (their pricing was contecjure based on the expectation that the Titan would outperform the GTX 690 - my article made it to several news sites and forums including Videocardz and Nordichardware). This was the event that brought my site to an end, I couldn't cope with the traffic biggrin.gif

I can also show messages (with names removed for obvious reasons) dating back to 2013Q3 discussing the Asus GeForce GTX 760 Mars, I was the first to publicly state (here on OCN in fact, on 24 June 2015) that the average overclock on the Fury X was around 1140 MHz and that people hoping for 1300+ were dreaming, around the same time I also mentioned that voltage would do very little to Fury X clock speeds.

Like I said, I wasn't familiar with you at all, and I'm not about to investigate random users on this site. wink.gif

Good to know you do have sources to support that claim. thumb.gif

You should've gotten a dedicated server or 2 or as many as necessary to handle all that extra traffic. Or simply get a VPS that'll grow with your needs. I have crashed many servers during product launches in the past and run a Hosting Company now. Too much traffic is the best problem a website owner could ever have.

You weren't familiar with me so I gave you a bit of background smile.gif

Too much traffic is both good and bad, I went from about 200 page views in the entire first month to over 100,000 in the last month. I sold advertising early on based on around 4,000 page views per month with pricing to match. By the time I pulled the plug, a month's hosting cost more than the annual advertising income. If I ever do something similar again, I'll definitely go with an advertising platform that scales with site growth, such as Adwords (I had been selling advertising directly).

Strangely enough my latest venture is a hosting company which launched this month biggrin.gif

I figured it was your monetization strategy, but didn't want to make assumptions. Adwords isn't the best ad platform anymore (yes I'm aware they're the market leader) but for many reasons I wouldn't recommend them.

Good luck with your Hosting Company!

Good luck with your Hosting Company!

It was the first time I'd done anything of the kind, I wasn't setting out to become a large site but rather just having my own outlet for writing as opposed to using someone else's platform. You can say I went in with knowledge but not wisdom wink.gif

Thanks for the good luck wishes, I'm busy working towards my third million dollars.

The first two failed biggrin.gif

I actually miss writing, the last I did was a 12 page article spread over two issues of TheOverclocker over a year ago. Time to drop him a message and ask if I can do some more.

Well done, just remember that failure isn't the opposite of success, it is a PART of success wink.gif
