Old, so it's DVD stuff.
I also want to copy/paste them to HDD but with Nero 2014 version (I bought that version)
So what settings will I choose?
What codec should I use?
I want 1:1 quality, doesn't care how much space it takes.
I want to "recode" (if needed) the file so it becomes a 1-doubleclick-file (so nothing Video and Sound TS folders...) --> Like 1 avi or 1 mpg or 1 ??? (I know how it works and what about more or less, but I just don't know out of my head which settings to choose.)

It is illegal to break or copy encrypted media. OCN does tolerate discussion of illegal activities, even those of questionable nature such as making backup copies of movies you own.
That being said, as long as this conversation stays on topic and does not discuss or mention encryption-breaking or copying of known DMCA restricted content, this thread will remain open as I will assume you are discussing some sort of media for which you own all the rights to it.
Hope that's clear as mud.
Oh well I even gorgot about this thread
I understand the "dangerous" topic stuff
But I do have the originals and want to keep them for myself. But needed a copy cause the dvd shows are from 1995 so cannot afford to loose and thus find them again! This guy (comedian) is hilarious (in Dutch)
So ontopic again: I figured it out!
I just make an MPEG-2 of it, way better than MPEG-4 and it's 1 file! I did an MKV also but was not able to use CUDA in Nero so nevermind that... As I need to do 7 other disks
--> CUDA is 4-5 times faster...
Had to do a workaround tho to get CUDA working in NERO...
