Better late than never. I mean would you rather they just left CF broken instead?

I agree with better late than never but time is money. I most likely will not be playing a new game months after its released. I would guess many more people would too. This is what makes AMD look bad. If one is deciding to get a new GPU and they see that it isn't supporting their latest game "right away" than they will go with Nvidia. I am happy to see AMD drivers improve recently but they need to do way more. I understand AMD isn't in the best position financially but they need to put even more effort in drivers to be up to par with Nvidia. I certainly will not be looking at AMD for my next upgrade after terrible driver experience with my two 290X. The pain of making a game work isn't enough to justify the $100 cheaper price of a comparable graphics card. I rather work a bit more and save up a bit more to have a smoother gaming experience from the start. Just my point of view.

I'm the opposite, but only because of the atrocious state of games these days. I'd rather wait a few months for the game to be patched up and mostly bug free, than to trudge through a bug ridden stutterfest, which completely takes the joy out of playing a game. Plus I vote with my wallet and simply REFUSE to buy broken games at full price. I mean if you're going to release a half-baked game, don't expect to get more than 50% the asking price.

Of course I understand I'm in the minority, and this is why devs don't give a damn, and the "OMG devs suck I'm never pre-ordering a game again!" to "OMG I NEED DIS IN MY LIFE NAO PRE-ORDERING TODAY *throws cash at screen*" viscous cycle keeps going year after year after year. thumb.gif

Waited almost 8 months for Witcher CFX and AMD did not bother. They forget games once players move to new games.

I agree with what you are saying. It's true that the state of games these days are atrocious. I do vote with my wallet as well and wait a few weeks to a month before getting a game I really want and that its worth my money. But AMD still takes a ridiculous amount of time to come out with working drivers. Like the example that was given with Witcher 3 and now Fallout 4. I just think AMD isn't doing enough and I don't know if they will ever be able to with the type of money they aren't making. Losing players patience and trust is what has hurt them in the long run and that is what has happen in my case. I do see a glimmer of hope but not sure if it's enough.

This is for the patch 1.3 which broke CF again. It was working with patch 1.2 and AMD's reddit sub had a post about how to downgrade to that.
