[IGN] DOOM coming May - Page 6

This looks so much truer to the original Doom games than Doom 3 could have ever hoped for!

I know, but let's just say I don't have faith in either. tongue.gif

Noob chiming in here. I thought the alpha was pretty fun myself. I had a bunch of unused game stop gift cards so I ended up pre-ordering TNO just to get into the Doom beta. Hoping the beta releases soon now that we have a release date in only 3 months. Back to lurking I go redface.gif

I am looking forward to this game. I haven't been this excited for a game since Aliens: Colonial Marines. Let's hope it doesn't fall just as short...........

Meh, unless they fix the white shader issue, which to my knowledge is still in the beta/alpha, then I'm not buying.

I'll preorder if for no reason other than getting to Download it potentially beforehand so I can play the game on launch day. The Snap Map feature looks really interesting.

And then there's VR. I cannot even imagine this in VR...

I used to bash this due to its CoD aspects, but now I'm liking it, it actually is more true to the original, although it's not ground-breaking (games really can't be anymore). I've come to terms with the fact every series I loved as a child/teenager or even adult is now CoD-fied and ruined.

Now I'm just wondering if they'll screw it up by adding aim assist and/or sluggish controls, or ironsights.

I could do without seeing the arm lift me up, I rather just jump up, things like that in games throw my aim off, and I can't stand most games 'let's shake the screen as much as possible and bob your head so you can't' aim trend.
