How to know if i plugged my gpu correctly into powqer supply?

OK here is the thing, i plugged gtx 960 into old pc, i needed to use the extensions from the box to plug in the second "square" plug, like on the picture below

those white plastic things are connecting gtx 960 to the poweer supply, the second "square" one is plugged by the one coming straight to the power supply. now the gpu works, and turns on correctly, but i don't feel good with those connectors since they feel like they might not be plugged correctly, it can be me being paranoid, since they seem to be plugged but i want to be 100% if it works.

What Power Supply are you using?

Just to be clear, you have 2x 4pin molex connectors from the power supply connected to the two "white things", which are then connected to the "black square thing" on the GTX 960 right?

Yeah, tell us what the brand and exact model your PSU is.

While we wait for that, you should know that your computer and your video card wouldn't be working properly if it weren't powered properly.

You need a 400 watt PSU with at least 20A on the 12v rail for GTX 960. The Logic 500W and 600W have dual 12v rails at 14A each. You might just get away with it power-wise, but this is a cheap unit and I don't know what other hardware you are running. On the safe side I'd upgrade the PSU, but this is just my opinion. Wait and see what others say. smile.gif

does not upgrading can cause damage for my gtx 960 or only slow it down?
A crappy PSU will damage your video card and everything else in the system if the ripple is bad enough.

KonradGM: using a PSU like that won't cause things to go slower, it will risk the death of your computer.
