Need help with choosing router/modem.

What is your maximum budget? i would like to stay under $230 for both router and modem (comcast approved)

Do you have brand loyalty or care which brands we select for you? I like linksys, netgear, tp-link

What modes does your router need to support? (a/b/g/n/ac) all

How many devices should the router be expected to handle without slowing down? 2 gaming pcs, 1 server (game hosting - minecraft, and a few game mods) 3 laptops, 4 cell phones, 3 tablets, multiple IoT devices

What do devices do on your WiFi? (Gaming, Netflix, basic internet browsing, etc?) Youtube, streaming, netflix, skype/facetime, basic web browsing

What speed do you get from your ISP? (In megaBITS per second. Estimates are fine) 75 down 10 up

What kind and how many ports does the router need to have? (100 mbps, 1 gigabit, etc) 4 1gb ports

What's the farthest from the router that a client could be and still need to operate? (Same room? Next room? Across a house?) across a house (dual level 2,300 sqft)

If you need to use the router in many different rooms, what kind of walls do you have? (Drywall, cinderblock, lead-lined vault?) Drywall

Does the router need to support open source/aftermarket firmware? (DD-WRT, tomato, etc) No

Is there anything else we need to know? (Special features it needs to have like a firewall, etc?) QoS

Not needed but would be nice: UPnP , guest network, Updated admin webportal

I have three options but not sure if they are decent, or how they rank among each other.

NETGEAR AC1750 Smart Wi-Fi Router, 802.11ac Dual Band Gigabit and DOCSIS 3.0 High Speed Cable Modem - 200$ amazon

Linksys WRT AC1200 Dual-Band and Wi-Fi Wireless Router with Gigabit and USB 3.0 Ports and eSATA (WRT1200AC) - 120# amazon - no modem included

TP-LINK Archer C7 AC1750 Dual Band Wireless AC Gigabit Router, 2.4GHz 450Mbps+5Ghz 1300Mbps, 2 USB Port, IPv6, Guest Network - 100$ amazon - no modem included.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks,

Ninja

I have an Archer C7 with a motorola surfboard 6141 and they work great. I have the same 75/10 comcast plan you're looking at and I clock 90 Mbps over ac and 45 Mbps over n. I am very pleased with both of them.
