In my opinion, they're definitely more stylish than some headphones that were never designed to be stylish, but when it comes to actual stylish headphones, they're bottom of the bin. I think Beats headphones with the beats logo removed look like $20 tasteless Chinese rubbish. But this is indeed subjective.
And while there's definitely some comparison between Beats and designer clothing/accessories, its a pretty flawed comparison. Designer clothing/accessories while carrying a premium price because of the brand, are usually still pretty high quality and use quite premium materials.
Beats on the other hand, use cheap materials and are cheaply made.
I would say usually what you pay for with designer accessories is usually about 70% brand, 30% design and quality. With Beats its more like 96% brand, 4% design and quality.
But I must say, having tried newer Beats headphones, they have improved in the audio quality side of things, so that's at least worth something.Edited by Gilles3000 - 2/6/16 at 2:31pm
