Help with Adata SX900 256GB Drive

Thread Starter
I bought this drive a while ago, went to add an additional drive today (didn't touch my ssd) and when I went to boot I received an error that my ssd could not be read. I said OKAY. Grabbed other computer looked online, many suggested in threads with simular issues that the drive was dead. (Not without a fight it isn't) Then went into my Bios which still recognized it. Went into my windows installer for windows 7, deleted everything (only programs on this drive) went to install windows 7 on it again and gave me an error for formatting.

So After that I tried creating two partitions from the drive, format the first partition, error. Format he second partition, success. I delete the partitions and merge them again without formating. Install windows onto my hdd and download the adata firmware updater and successfully update my solid state drive firmware.

So this is where I am, I still can't get the full drive to show on my computer. So I'm wondering If I should try formating the entire drive again via my windows 7 installer or ask here if anyone knows of a software that can check and format my ssd. I woud prefer that I didn't loss 128GB of my ssd (or whatever I would have t partition away to avoid this bad sector.)

Edit: went into my windows installer, attempted to format the ssd after updating the firmware and succeded. Now attempting to reinstall windows 7 onto my computer (Fingers crossed)

Edit #2: Windows successfully installed on the ssd, It appears to be working again! Maybe someone else who runs into my problem will find this helpful.

Glad you got it working. I was looking at the SP920 drives, they seem to be pretty good for the money so I will keep this in mind if I ever get one.
