alright here's the low down //

I decided to expand my RAM, I have been running my current memory in the B slots. I added new ram to the A slots and the system would not post. I received the '55' error "ram not installed". I RMA'd my board back to ASUS, got a new board from them. compiled my system once more... still the system will not post if any RAM is installed in the A slots... any ideas before I rip ASUS a new one... I have tried all sticks in the B slots... all post. Is there something I am missing. I have G Skill Snipers, 2x8 and 2x4. Let me know your thoughts.

Cheers

KK

CPU could be also at fault, probably one of the memory channels are not working. Try RMA'ing the CPU, before rma'ing go through the troubleshooting steps which intel customer support should give you via a live chat most likely.

Hey thanks for the reply... it turns out this board does not like cooler master heat sinks... they must put pressure on the cpu with 100% snug... I loosened the mounting screws on the heat sink a little be and all seems to work fine now.
