Thanks so much for posting this on a forum that panders to copyright law. Very brave of you!
I've purposefully avoided grinding my gigantic axe on this topic on here because the rules are blatantly pro-copyright, pro-DRM, anti-Internet freedom.
(PLEASE. MAKE. A. CASE. WHY. NOT.
I'm sorry to say, but that's the reason why I don't like posting here, I'm disgusted by the policies this has about network Sovereignty, and that's why I will never donate a single cent to this website. This policy also direcly cripples the hardware industry, because Internet freedom will encourage hardware sales and uptake. So basically the site has de facto decided to back an old moribund model that harms the tech sector.
I WANT TO LOVE THE SITE BUT YOU MAKE IT IMPOSSIBLE FOR ME. If I wasn't so cynical and angry, that would break my heart a bit.
Ban me if you want, because if you would for this, then this place is worthless anyways. I don't give a darn anymore.
Anyways, it's an interesting experiment, except that we might not see much of an effect because there's bound to be others cracking the releases they might have.
And something tells me this will be ignored by the tone-deaf copyright lobby.Edited by OverclockerFox - 2/6/16 at 8:06am
