ram exceeds recommended maximum voltage,,

The G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-2400 Memory operating voltage of 1.65V exceeds the Intel Haswell Refresh CPU recommended maximum of 1.5V+5% (1.575V). This memory module may run at a reduced clock rate to meet the 1.5V voltage recommendation, or may require running at a voltage greater than the Intel recommended maximum

I've got an i7 4790k and was planning on getting "G.Skill Trident X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-2400 Memory" for my RAM. pcpartpicker is warning about this. Do I need to get a lesser ram or is this benign?

That shouldn't be a problem. I run my DDR3 1866 MHz ram at 1.65V.

That ram is fine. You run the Intel X.M.P profile to run at it's overclocked rated speeds.

Can you explain a bit more what you mean by "run the Intel X.M.P. profile"?
There is a feature on motherboards that support X.M.P profiles that are pre-programmed on RAM overclock rated ram sticks which allows you to load the preset made for the RAM so that it runs at the rated ram speed provided by the X.M.P profile (Extreme Memory Profile).

This is all done through the BIOS if you want to enable it.
