(My bad, looks like they jumped back up in price.)

http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Wireless-Gaming-Headset-Surround/dp/B003VANOFY

as iv searched Cloud is more powerfull than G930. Just G930 is more functional. also its have wireless contact and jack have more glory than wireless atm

=========================================================

in case what about G930 VS Cloud 2/1 maybe iv lost something?

they cost almost the same price

Just thought I'd recommend something cheapish (I love mine) to hold you over until you got the money to buy something better. smile.gif

Skullcandy PLYR1 is an interesting choice as well.

The mics are the same between the three, however when connected to the USB soundcard you'll notice a little better feedback.

The Beyerdynamic DT990's surely are beast, have a set at home along with a Sennheiser HD 598's.  The one thing to keep in mind with the DT990's depending on the model he may need a headphone amp that will increase the cost of ownership.  All three headsets in this discussion are great depending on the scenario.  Our Cloud II does have a fantastic value in performance though.

Yeah for a PC headset at this price point the Cloud's are pretty good.
Even seen as a normal headphone there not that bad.

I do think the single plug thing (Cloud II) with that almost unuseable converter plug could have been done better though, if the converter plug was actually useable in all scenario's people wouldnt even have to think between a Cloud I or II.

Oh, a 250 ohm DT990 can still easely be powered without an AMP in my opinion unless you want ear shattering volume.
I had mine first on a ASUS DGX, then a STX and now Dac + amp... volume was never a problem.

I like the Cloud I. I think they offer a good p/p ratio and they are great for people who like their sound to be more neutral. Also they are good in shooters you can easly hear the direction of footsteps.

You guys with expensive headphones may disagree but from what I tried a pair that is 3 times more expenisve won't be 3 times better.

In my opinion the Cloud I provide a cheap way to get good sound. If you can get something more expensive do so, if not stick with them they will not disappoint.

Also having a relativley low impedance means you can use them with a phone or laptop.

If you get a 350$ headphone a 1000$ headphone wont even sound twice as good.
You pay a huge amount for small upgrade's thats how its always been with audio.

Not tried the G633 but it looks heavy and has to much plastic.
The Clouds have more or less the same build scructure as Beyerdynamics, very sturdy and light.
Here a G633 is almost double the price of a Cloud though so in that sence you would think it must be better but i reckon it isnt allthough like i said i never tried one yet.
Heck the G633 has the same price as a DT990 pro here.....

Oh the airplane adapter that comes bundled with the Cloud II? Yea... We learned from that.  A 4-Pole headset splitter would have made more sense. :D

About the DT990's really depends on the device and sound card as some have enough power to support that high of an impedance. The thing with sound it's a challenge to judge and make recommendations as it's definitely subjective and differ with everyone. :thumbsups

I would dismiss all the attachable microphones, or gaming headsets, unless you are finding yourself in situations when you need to use your microphones while not at home.
I moved to Beyerdynamic DT770Pro and Auna MIC-900 USB Cardioid Studio Condenser Microphone , and I can honestly say I will never buy another gaming headset again, they are all garbage.
There is just no comparison, the gaming headsets sound like crap and the microphones sound even worse.
It doesn`t need to be expensive either.
