Great video, thanks.

CPU vs GPU. All comes down to what games you play and what IQ you like. For example playing a RTS or a City sim might be best to upgrade your cpu remmber that at higher screen resolution it also greatly increases the cpu/ram work load. Now if your playing games like GTA5 maybe you want a little extra gpu power for some aa or something (not that its really needed @ 4k) But honestly unless your playing games like metro or crysis with max settings your gpu does ok at 4k. The thing is with gpu power you can just turn down settings and still have a good game play with cpu you can not in most cases.
So it all really depends on YOU and what you like more.

edit: also better cpu helps to give you a higher minim frame rate so a smoother experiance over all so in my personal opinion cpu first gpu later altho i can respect the idea of a better gpu first too smile.gif

Well my OC-ed 4670k not as bad as i tought. It gets 678 points in cinebench r15 and according to this review the 6600k gets 654 at 3,9 GHz and 751 at 4,5 GHz... Judging from this i think my 290x is the "bottleneck" biggrin.gif .

You might be better off with a single gpu upgrade like a 980 Ti or Fury X with the i5. When i was using 1080 i was able to turn HT off on my i7 Sandy 4.5GHz (basically an i5) no problem even in games that are muti-threaded like BF4 . . .

never tried HT off with 2 290s even now at 4K.
