Hey all,

I'm going to build myself a system based solely around gaming, 1440p at 70+Fps with most games maxed is my aim. A couple of concerns come to mind one being will having two 980ti's cause any heat problems and would I be better off with a NH-D15 over the Kraken X61 in the cooling vs noise, and lastly should I wait until the Pascal cards come out this year.

There's a link to my parts at PCPartpicker below, please let me know what you like, what you don't like and what could be done to improve the build.

First off the PSU you picked is pretty much junk and you dont want a Corsair RM yet alone the 1000 watt which is one of the worst 1000 watt units around.
Why you might not want to buy a Corsair RM PSU

Second you dont need a 1000 watt PSU unless you are going to BIOS volt mod the video cards.

Third drop the X61 and get an NH-D15 its better cheaper more quiet and more reliable.
Fourth the fans you picked are very loud at full speed so if you are looking for quiet fans those are not it.

Hi Shilka,

I had a read of your 850 PSU thread the other thread about why you might not want to buy a Corsair RM was a bit too technical for me. If I'm reading it right would you advise a Thermaltake Toughpower DPS or Corsair AX860i. What fans would you use instead.

The EVGA SuperNova G2/P2 and the Corsair RMx are both better and cheaper then both of those in most places.
As for the fans the normal Noctua NF-A14 fans are more then enough for almost any build.

Why do you have the NH-D14 on the list when the NH-15 is newer and better?

Only two things i would note is Kingston RAM might be chaper then the Corsair RAM you picked and an LG Blu-Ray drive might be cheaper then the Pioneer you picked.

As for the GTX 980 Ti cards the Asus GTX 980 Ti is a little bit better so you might want to look into that.

As for the keyboard and mouse i prefer Roccat myself but thats my own personal taste.
