[Engadget] Titanfall 2 will have a real Single Player campaign - Page 4

Remove bots completely, and remove smart pistol , and I shall be interested in buying the sequel.

Bots added nothing to the game , they were just target practice and distracting from the real plays..

Gameplay was amoung some of the smoothest movement and the Titan controls were amazing, I'd last sometimes all game in my first Titan Drop

Agree'ed, but I think the smart pistol should go because Im sick of people complaining about it.... At range, its useless, up close it can be good only if you surprise the other person. In a 1v1 the smart pistol will get destroyed by a machine gun.

I'm just sick of listening to people complain about it, otherwise I like the gun, it adds a nice mechanic to the game.

Plus there are many counters to the SP, cloaking makes lock on slower, hitting stim makes it so they have to lock on and shoot you twice to kill you.

Bots are nice to have if your team has some new players. They can get points and practice killing bots, or get killed by the higher level players everytime they meet.

Plus I have seen a few games where the other team won with 0 player kills (they died alot) but racks of bot kills.

It adds a nice distraction to the game to allow for continuous shooting. The only way to remove them is to up the player per map count. If they went with 32 players, with squads, they would end up with battlefeild with jet packs.

the game isn't a 5v5 shooter thumb.gif

That was one of the things I wish was different, now that I'm thinking about it.
I think that huge maps with a dozen Titans in play at once would be sweet.

Yes and no, I think if the other team gets alot more titans than your team, it will quickly turn into a one sided match.

Now, if they limited the number of titans in play per team, that would be ideal. But I dont know how they would make the que for who gets a titan.
If they made it so you can only spawn a new titan when your team drops below the max, you would have a never ending supply of titans falling.

If they set titans to work as a team based scoring (your teams score counts towards build times) then the titan auto falls, and who ever gets to it can drive it around might work. Also if you could hack a titan it might even things out a bit. Hacking a titan would have to take longer than a specter to allow the team owners to try to keep it.

IDK, i think titans make a larger player maps harder to even out.... I can just imagine a herd of 16 titans just stomping the maps.

I'm not a multiplayer so I was pretty disappointed the original had no single player. If this has a good campaign I very well might pick it up.

Agreed, way too many bad players complained about the smart pistol. It's like they've never even used the gun and think it locks on super quickly or started using it on stationary targets only.

But...the game ran on Source engine, which is about as streamlined as engines get. There are far more visually intensive games on console and they're not pulling anything as stupid as uncompressed audio tongue.gif

I think Titanfall devs (or whoever was in charge of audio) just didn't know how to do things properly....
